Rosebud School of the Arts’ Artists-in-Training Presents: Don’t Pay The Ferryman
Three sisters find themselves in the afterlife. Will their connections weigh them down or help them take flight?
Don’t Pay The Ferryman is a 40-minute presentation with movement, created and performed by the students of Rosebud School of the Arts. The piece is a culmination of the students’ learning in the Devising Theatre class, led by Rebecca Orion, a Calgary-based theatre artist and Rosebud graduate 2021, and Jocelyn Hoover Leiver, who performed the role of Meg in Rosebud Theatre’s production of Little Women.
Everyone welcome! The play contains some heavy content, but it is handled lightly and respectfully. Note that this is not a full-fledged performance event, but a public sharing of work created in class.
The event is FREE of charge, although donations to the RSA Theatre Study Trip Fundraiser are appreciated and will directly support the Rosebud students. Tax receiptable donations can be made at rosebudschoolofthearts.com.
